Permits for oversized transport
Civil escort of oversized transports
Police or substitute services escort
Simulation of the passage of oversized transport
Thanks to it, we can check whether the oversize transport is able to pass through a given route. To check it, we need information such as:
- transport parameters,
- which route do we have to check,
- exact transport specification,
- geodetic map of the route
- report of the route to be checked, including photos and the position of the obstacles.
Preparation time and costs depend on the complexity of the transport.
Adaptation of road infrastructure
Adaptation of infrastructure for transport – VLM (German: Verkehrslenkende Maßnahemen) is required by the office when the possibilities of travel on a given road section are limited. These include, for example, activities such as: disassembly and reassembly of road signs and traffic lights, closing bridges and roads by police officers and all activities aimed at ensuring safe passage of transport.
The time and cost of the service are to individual valuation.
Vehicle registration in the Netherlands
Before a permit is issued, the vehicle for which the permit is to be issued must first be registered in the Dutch system. The registration requires technical documents issued by the manufacturer of the vehicle (e.g. COC certificate, technical specification, technical drawing, Ficha, Scheda, etc.). Among other things, such dimensions as: length, width of the vehicle, wheelbases, distance from the start of the vehicle to the center of the coupling or from the coupling to the end of the vehicle, maximum axle load, maximum permissible load of the vehicle and vehicle combination. The registration time is approx. 5 working days and the cost is 29 €.
Simulation of axle loads after loading
You do not know what final axle loads your transport combination will have after loading? With the help of technical drawings of the set and cargo parameters, we are able to calculate it for you. Preparation time from 1 to 10 business days. costs depending on whether we already have the vehicle in our database or whether we need to obtain data from the carrier / manufacturer.
Sétra maps for French permits
The map is an integral part of the permit to travel in France. The roads on which the vehicle is allowed to travel are marked on the permit category with the given dimensions. The map for the 1st category permits is blue and its cost is 50 €. Orange for 40 € for category II permits. We send maps on an ongoing basis in accordance with the customer’s needs.
Translation of the registration certificate
In some countries (e.g. always in Spain or sometimes in Italy), sworn translations of registration documents or other documents are required to submit an application for a permit. The translation must usually be done by a translator accredited by the office in the given country. By ordering us to provide such a translation, you can be sure that it will be done by an appropriate translator, in a form acceptable to the office. Preparation time 10-14 working days for 80 € or 5-7 working days for 120 €.
Route survey and the protocol
A route survey is required by the office for large-size transports or when entering problematic places. It is performed by experienced pilots who check the possibilities of transport of given dimensions along a specific route. This often requires checking several route variants to find the most optimal one. After the survey is completed, a protocol is created. It contains photos of the points with the maximum width / height / length of the transport that will be covered by this section. The pilot’s comment is also added about the possible need to dismantle the vertical or overhead marking for proper passage. The costs and time of preparation are to individual valuation.
Bridge expertise
It is an expert opinion on the technical condition and load-bearing capacity of a road bridge / viaduct for the purpose of oversize transport. Made by engineers in accordance with applicable regulations. On their basis, an approval is issued to obtain an oversize permit. Bridge expertise is most often required at some facilities in Poland, the Czech Republic and France. In other countries, it is an individual decision of an official who will indicate a possible object to be checked. Costs and preparation time are subject to individual valuation.
Technical documents for the vehicle
On behalf of our clients, we obtain from vehicle manufacturers the necessary technical documentation necessary to obtain permits for oversize transports in different countries. Below is a list of the most common ones. We are also open to other customer needs, just feel free to contact us.
Ficha tecnica
Ficha tecnica is a document that describes the technical parameters of the vehicle. It is required to obtain a permit in Spain. This document must be issued by the vehicle manufacturer, signed and stamped by a person authorized to issue it. The price and time of preparing the document depend on the vehicle manufacturer.
Scheda tecnica
Sheda tecnica is a document that describes the technical parameters of the vehicle. It is required to obtain a permit in Italy. This document must be issued by the vehicle manufacturer and signed by a person authorized by the Italian office to sign such documents. The price and time of preparing the document depend on the vehicle manufacturer.
COC document
COC (Certificate Of Conformity) is a document confirming the compliance of vehicles with the guidelines and regulations of the European Community. The document includes the identification of the vehicle and its manufacturer, EU type number, technical specification and other data.
By issuing the COC, the manufacturer ensures that the vehicle is approved in accordance with the guidelines of the European Commission. We help in obtaining a copy / duplicate in order to use it, for example, in the process of vehicle registration in the Dutch system, necessary to obtain a permit to travel with an oversize load. The time of obtaining the document depends on the manufacturer and is subject to individual valuation.
Paragraf 70 StVZO
Paragraph 70 of the StVZO
Derogation from the technical conditions in accordance with Paragraph 70 of the German Vehicle Registration Code.
Paragraph 70 of the StVZO does not authorize passage. It is required when applying for a permit for oversize transport, but only in Germany, when at least one of the following conditions is met:
- the empty transport combination has dimensions larger than the standard ones, i.e. one of the following dimensions is exceeded: 16.5m x 2.55m x 4m – 40t,
- the transport combination extends or widens,
- the loaded (or empty) transport combination exceeds the total weight, i.e. 40t,
- the axle loads in the set are fully exceeded,
The Gutachten is the necessary document to apply for the Paragraph 70.
A permanent paragraph allows the vehicle to run on all public roads in Germany and is issued for a period of 3, 6 or 12 years as requested.
The waiting time is approx. 10 working days, and the cost ranges from 280 to 600 € depending on the period of validity, the issuing office and the vehicle parameters.
When applying for a permanent paragraph, Gutachten cannot be older than 18 months.
Single paragraph
If the vehicle / combination does not meet the conditions for obtaining the permanent paragraph 70 or the parameters allowed in the permanent paragraph are not sufficient to carry out the transport, we can apply for a single paragraph 70, which is issued for max. 3 months and allows the vehicle to drive on a specific route or in certain states. Preparation time from 1-10 working days and cost from 130 € to 200 €.
Gutachten
The opinion of a diagnostician on the technical parameters of a transport combination or a vehicle that exceeds the permitted standards in the German vehicle roadworthiness code (StVZO)
On the basis of the Gutachten made, we can apply for a derogation from the technical conditions in accordance with paragraph 70 of the German vehicle roadworthiness code. In 90% of the Gutachten we have obtained so far, the price was in the range of 500-600 €. Of course, it should be borne in mind that each set is considered individually and there are cases where the cost of obtaining Gutachten increases dramatically. The preparation time depends on the diagnostician, but from experience we can refine the time range between 5 and 14 working days.
Danish classification certificate
A certificate confirming the technical data of the vehicle. It is required to obtain a permit in Denmark if the axle loads specified in the Danish road traffic regulations are exceeded. Preparation time 1 day for a cost of 55 €.
Finnish technical inspection certificate
Coupling certificate is required when:
- the empty transport combination exceeds the maximum permissible dimensions and tonnage for normal traffic in Finland;
- the loaded combination (excluding the load) exceeds the maximum permissible dimensions in normal traffic in Finland (e.g. extended trailer);
- the loaded combination (including load) exceeds the maximum loads permitted in normal traffic in Finland.
The inspection is carried out by a specialized diagnostician at a diagnostic station in Finland.
Preparation time is 1 day.
The costs are approx. 300 € on inspection place, if a diagnostician needs to travel for transport, add travel costs.
Approval certificate
In the case of vehicles that were produced after January 1, 1984, the manufacturer or importer of new vehicles was obliged to attach to the vehicles sold an approval certificate, which was a source of information about its technical data for the registering authority. We help in obtaining a copy / duplicate in order to use it, for example, in the process of vehicle registration in the Dutch system, necessary to obtain a permit to travel with an oversize load, and to prepare documentation for obtaining a Gutachten. The time of obtaining the document depends on the manufacturer and is subject to individual valuation.
